Oregon has beautiful seasons. Our winters are moderate, leaving Oregon covered with soft white powder. Spring is filled with all the colors of the rainbow as the flowers wake up. Summer is filled with green and fairytale-like hikes. Fall brings a flood of brilliant red, stunning orange and happy yellow. Depending on your preferences, the best time to visit Oregon could be any of the four fascinating and unique seasons.
January – April: A great time to visit because DIG is going on! Dig Our Valley is a campaign wherein local businesses offer special deals and events unique to those months. The campaign is designed to allow visitors to dig into the Yamhill Valley and see what goes on behind the scenes. A winery might offer a special wine dinner, a restaurant might offer a unique cooking class, or a lodging destination might offer a deal that won’t be available any other time.
May – November: A time for art and wine lovers. From Memorial Day weekend to Thanksgiving weekend, wineries will be in full swing and the International Pinot Noir Celebration will be held in McMinnville. Art galleries will be a pleasure to visit, many are located within walking distance with each other and is a great trip for a sunny day. There is nothing like a summer breeze in Oregon. Go hiking and/or camping, visit one of the many farmers markets or visit the beach!
September – December: As the last of summer fades away and the valley gets chilly, have a spa vacation at the top ranking resort in the Pacific Northwest. You can also curl up and have some great food in the valley; Oregon happens to be home to some of the best American cuisine.
No matter what month you visit, there will be great places to stay, premium beverages to drink, and food to eat. Start planning your Oregon adventure today!
