There are so many grapes our valley is running out of space to store them! 2014’s harvest produced up to 30 percent more fruit than Oregon winemakers planned for, according to the article Huge harvest gives Oregon winemakers unusual challenge.
2014 has all the makings of an epic vintage; the ideal temperatures, no surprises from mother nature, and beautifully ripening fruit. It was the warmest growing season on record, so winemakers were able to harvest at peak ripeness instead of rushing to beat the rain and other weather concerns.
