The easiest way to get to Yamhill Valley is by car. If you flew into the Portland International Airport (PDX), there are a number of car rentals and other methods of transportation nearby. A rental is a good way to get around, but be sure to ask how many miles you can drive a day without being charged extra fees. Although it is possible to limit driving once in the Yamhill Valley, most cities take around an hour to get to from Portland. Also, driving around the Yamhill Valley and seeing the beautiful back-roads is part of the experience, so take scenic drives into account.
