Winter’s Hill wine was paired with Gamberetti’s this year at Pairings! according to the Statesman Journal article Wine, food lovers toast Oregon State Fair. The event was held the week prior to the Oregon State Fair (OSF), on August 15, 2014, instead of on opening day. It featured wineries and restaurants that were chosen and paired by the OSF staff. The pairs then coordinated on dishes and wine to serve visitors.
Winter’s Hill Owner Russell Gladhart brought four or five bottles of each of his pinot noir, pinot noir rosé and pinot gris to match Gamberetti’s samplings of a Soprano pasta dish made from chicken, pancetta, sun-dried tomato, chile pepper and a smoked red pepper cream sauce.
